This is a jumping on point. So, what have you missed? Well,...

1. Hella climbed out of her hole of self-loathing to save Zari and Sara from becoming Evil Witches 2: The Next Generation, but he butt-head of an ex, Hector, only let her save one of them!
2. She picked Sara, the one least resistive to his corruption and also the Squib daughter of Batu (Think Wonder Woman + Barda). 
3. But with Hector's evil magic having reduced our Superman/Hyperion allegory (and Hella's current boo), to a sweaty, wonkily-powered mess, who can take out this Hell-adjacent ex and save Zari???
4. Also: Has Night Fox gotten back from whining and lounging at his parents' intergalactic estate? Isn't his boy toy, Agent Twilight, still being held captive by evil robots?? Oh, and speaking Robo-Ruth, this is all part of her master plan, right????

NICO ISN'T DEAD!!!! I guess that's one of the blessings of superqueero physics: it's main operating principle is drama. Anyway,  now that her corpse has been reanimated, it looks like Nico is powered-up and looking for some vengeance! Hopefully superqueero Bloodstone won't end up a casualty in her wake!

Fearless Defenders #6

Valkyrie is the evil Doom Maiden of Rage!!! In addition to vomiting blood, it looks like she's also going to be ending the life of one of the superheroes who showed up to help her stop the Doom Maidens. But will it be her love interest, Dr. Annabelle Riggs? And will this start an Orphean journey to retrieve her from Hela's kingdom? Oh, and can they pick up Howlett's bf while they're down there?

Will Alexis be able to stop him? And what's in that glowing red bag that Agent Twilight liberated from that clearly-a-set-up "arms dealer"? And who wants him to have it? Diabolical shapeshifting robot Ruth, perhaps????

So evidently the political muckraking is about to begin for Kevin's senatorial campaign. I'm just confused: if Kevin publicly married Clay, how is it going to be a controversial issue that his opponent can exploit? Unless marriage equality isn't the norm in Future!Riverdale? Because it's impossible to have unrepentant haters in the Archie-verse, right??

Witchblade #166

Now that Sara knows the truth about the remade universe, it's time to bring it down, starting with the world's only honest politician. Will Dani step in to stop her? (In my fanfic she does, just as Finch/the Angelus is interfering too. Dani and Finch see each other across the room and, WHAMO, love at first-sight-in-this-iteration-of-the-Image-verse!)

With Hippolyta coming back from the dead in the Marvel U and fighting the undead in the DCnU, Tia rescuing Batu from certain death in the Supurbia-U, and the Gordian knot that is #nowthatchersdead in the Twitter-U, this week is a life-or-death week for powerful women! And that means that it's a great week for... SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgendered, and queer in comics today!!

Supurbia #6

Woohoo, Gio gets a storyline! The dashing Nightwing-with-good-hair is investigating an illegal weapons deal without his Batman-esque boy toy and the fallout is going to have ramifications for the whole 'hood! What with Zari thinking Gio is the cat's pajamas (or at least really good at pajama parties), will a bazooka bust gone bad force her to resort to using her evil magic powerstone (courtesy of Hector Hunt) to save Agent Twilight? And will Agent T dig up something incriminating about The Superhero & Weapons Expo? Or is Alexis actually going to acquire HuntTech, and is her doing so part of some sort of convoluted trap????

Fearless Defenders #3

Hippolyta (Daughter of Ares, not the mother of a butt-kicking clay princess) joins the cast! Hippolyta is so strongly Wonder Woman's mother in my mind that it's odd to me that she is some sort of maiden superhero in the Marvel U. Ditto with the actual Greek stories, too. Every time I see her in an alternate universe I think, "When does she have time for all this queen-ing? Diana must be taking up so much of her time at that age!" Anyway, the awesome Misty Knight-and-Valkyrie recap pages continue in this issue, so this book is perfect even before page one!

Kevin Keller #8

X-treme X-men #13

Final Issue!!!!!!!!!! This has been my favorite X-book for the past year-ish ("Wolver-queers before Weddings", as they say!), so it's hard to see it go so soon... The best I can hope for is that Howlett survives and Dazzler remains totes bad-as. But in terms of what is actually happening this issue: 

Kid!Nightcrawler makes "the ultimate sacrifice", which I assume means he kills the anti-Celestial with his Spidey lunch box. Either way, I'm still P.O.'d about Howlett's loss... On the LGBT-upside, though, it looks like it's up to Karma and Northstar to save the day! Go remaining 'queeros!

Have you read the preview??? Did you see the Easter egg on Zari's shirt?? And I had no idea Tia was such an awesome superhero! Plus Eve gets some storyline! (I feel like she's been relegated to playing an extra to the rest of the team ever since the mini, which I guess is fair turnabout since they were all JLA archetypes to her heroic ingenue for this four issues...) Oh, and Sara and Zari look so awesome in the cold open! I almost want Hector to succeed just to see that Thelma & Louise biz every month!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 9: Freefall #19
Buffy heads back to San Fran, only to find out that a world without magic may soon be a world without anthropomorphized mystical artifacts, specifically Buffy's sister! As you have no doubt heard, this is the beginning of the end of one of the best Marvel Now! books on the shelves today. Thankfully they're getting the chance to wrap up the long term plot threads, so Evil Xavier better watch his back! But unthankfully, this, the home of the first hottest couple in comics today (Herclett) is about to also birth the second hottest (if straight) romance just in time for cancellation. That's right, say hello and goodbye to... Dazzclops!

If you've checked out the preview for this issue you know that Ruth gets her robot-butt back in the game as she takes a blood-soaked Hella under her metal wing. But what about Agent Twilight? Is he just going to be relegated to playing dress up with Green Nightlight? I thought we were getting some Night Fox drama!

Reading these issues when they are collected into trades really helps keep the continuity fresh in your mind... The only thing that I can remember for certain is that Jun is hot. And maybe his twin brother is dead? And there are two Jades? And is Irena evil? And is Ike going to kill his father? Let's hope they put a sumamry at the beginning of the issue!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 9 - Freefall #18

I love that Billy's main job in the Scoobies is reading and not dying: He and I have all the same interests! Also, I love that the lack of magic in the world is making the Key sick. But I hope she doesn't die! Oh, and Illyria is in this issue, so, duh, it'll totes rock.

And this week they face off against the Suicide Squad! Maybe they'll off one of the SS and Voodoo will get to join up. And then she can date Knockout or Scandal! Or both! #matchmakermatchmaker

X-treme X-men #7.1
This issue is a brief interlude before our heroes rejoin head-in-a-jar-Xavier and meet the team he gathered to replace them, but it starts out AWESOMELY: our thundering threesome pick up a fearsome fourth when they are joined by space-mecha-piloting-SAGE!!!!!!!! Sage was a stalwart of the original "X-treme" team, so her joining up is an awesome nod to her origins. Plus, since she was kinda an Emma Frost stand-in (just with an ever-expanding list of powers), it's a lil' cheeky having her replace Emmaline. Now all she has to do is kill a space-whale-Brood-Xavier, find our heroes a way back to their head-in-a-jar-Xavier, and not find herself in any one of the perilous positions telepaths seem to encounter in this book! (Also, evidently, now that the universe is busted 'n' stuff any telepath with a wandering mind's eye can 'port a whole gaggle of mutants across inter-dimensional boundaries? Whatevs.)

DID YOU READ LAST MONTH'S ISSUE?!?! It looks like Hector Hunt is going to be romancing Night Fox's wife Alexis (or having someone do it for him)!!!! And Gio is totes gonna be coming out so he can push the tension and have Night Fox all to himself! Oh, and I'm loving the transgressive storyline of the Son of the (Mongolian) Amazons. It will be interesting to see the intolerance of the Mongolian Amazons and how the book treats it! Plus Hella Hunt is screwed! Argh, I love this book!!!

Billy's in the main cast now (woo!) but the solicit only says that Buffy will have to face a demon from one of her long-lived exes' pasts. Fingers crossed that Bill gets involved! And CuteDevon!

Madame Xanadu! Shining Knight! Exoristos (Shining Knight's sapphic Amazon)! This book is just awesome! And this issue they only have to defeat two armies (one: Lucifer's, the other: the Questing Queen's), revive Merlin, and survive a time jump (and a shift in writer)! Who lives? Who dies? Who retires???????

SuperQueeros! for November 21st, 2012

Did y'all see the list of top ten gay and lesbian characters/couples over at Newsarama? It's a celebration of Shining Knight, the intersex, ass-kicking Demon Knight I mentioned in last week's SuperQueeros! (Newsarama calls Shining Knight transgender, but unless you count Bornstein-ing your way past the concept of gender as transgender, I think S.K. came out as pansexed and pangendered.) Give it a flip through and see if you learn about any new superqueeros! I know it clued me in to Danielle Baptiste's queer identity as a (or possibly "the only") 'queero at Top Cow.

Supurbia #1

The best comic this year gets its own ongoing series! Night Fox and Agent Twilight return as a villain moves into the neighborhood and starts to court Night Fox's wife Alexis. Plus, we get to meet Supurbia's version of Lois Lane, the unceremoniously dumped Hayley Harper! And what exactly is keeping Batu's husband up late? Perhaps the creation of a Boomtube...?

Batwoman #14

Kate continues her crusade to kill Medusa with the help of Wonder Woman! Will zombie cowboy Pegasus help them out? Or is his head the one that "will role" as the preview at the end of the last issue foreshadowed? Also, why isn't Pegasus a flying horse????

Astonishing X-Men #56

From the cover it looks like Gambit is Iceman? I did not see that one coming... And if Bobby is the teammate who returns, why is there a question of if he is a friend or foe? And the solicit also mentions Kyle, so he might be in danger! Or a villain! Can Karma and Northstar pull a save out of this mounting disaster???

Speaking of married super-couples, the second-to-last issue of Husbands is out this week! And it looks like this issue is going to be in the style of the Archie-verse!!!! ARGH I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE INEVITABLE CUTE-BOMB!

Supurbia #3

My new favorite comic!!! Have you seen Agent Twilight???? No wonder Night Fox switched teams, that boy is FIIIIIIIINE! Anyway, the premise is that this issue a new perspective on the classic climactic-battle issue. While robots are attacking the UN (sooo JSA #yawn), this book answers the question "What's happening at the homestead?" (fresh POV!) I'm really excited to see... well, everything in this book! Grace Randolph is killing it on script, and the art by Russell Dauterman is both solid and consistent, something you don't normally find on titles with 50% female characters. Like I said: LOVE. #getit

Stormwatch #9

Apollo and Midnighter (fan favs, my favs) fight "Skallox" (purportedly fan fav, defo not my fav) and his connection to Stormwatch (Oh Gaga, is he sticking around????? Ugh.) is revealed. Unless his connection to Stormwatch is the ability to control the Carrier's latent Daemonite capacity to 'ship all my favorite couples I am NOT INTERESTED. ...But the possibility of that being the case means that I am totes mcghost buying this 'sue...

Avengers Academy #29

...And the first page is naked Hercules. CORRECT. What next? Redonk AvX sleepover? Why not! Watch as Gen Hope, some of the X-Club, all those spare X-kids with no team, and the AA misfits mix it up during the biggest crossover since the last big crossover! The Runaways story was pretty good though... let's see what Gage does with this one!

Teen Titans Annual #1

An annual!!!!??!!! I am very excited!!! Bunker front and center on the cover??? EXCELLENT. It's the TT vs the LL (Legion Lost, a title which I have not read because Gravity Kid is not in it) in a giant, killer gauntlet. The nineties truly are back! :D

X-Factor #235
