Okay, I am definitely a newcomer to this parallel future, but the premise is that the JLA gets reincarnated into future peoples' bodies. The "queer" part is that sometimes the old hero's sex and the new body's sex don't match, and sometimes the resulting gender expression is not what you would expect. The whole point of this team is to flip the standard formula on its head, but whether it addresses the queer aspects of its queering of the JLA (well executed or otherwise) is still unknown. So, check it out at your own risk?

Novice though I am, I'm pretty certain that Jingle's annoying 'tude is big enough to put Kevin's life - or at least his pre-Thanksgiving Christmas issue - in danger!

I'm lumping these two issues together because the solicits sound almost exactly the same... Based on the covers I'd say there's a granddaughter-grandpa fight, then the Green Lantern makes a cameo in order to tell the Huntress and NuBatman to stop their family feuding and help fight some Parademons. And since it's Futures End, I'm assuming everyone gets turned into robots?

X-Force #10

Archie has four dates on the same night! And the solicit promises "cameos galore", which I take to mean "Yes, we shoehorned Kevin into this storyline about straight white male promiscuity." Which actually does make we want to read this issue, even if I just read the issue.

There's also a whole bunch of awesome horror comics coming out this week, including (The Chilling Adventures of) Sabrina #1, a dark take on the Sabrina mythology in the vain of Afterlife with Archie, and Klarion #1, the New 52's ongoing series about the witch-boy guardian of chaos himself. I don't know if there are any queer characters in ANY of them, but Sabrina is written by IRL superqueero Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and I've always thought that being a Witch Boy is gender non-conformist.

Meanwhile, over in the X-verse, we have the X-Men's 100th Anniversary Special (who were created 51 years ago...), as well as "The Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier" in Uncanny X-Men #23. I don't think there's much of a chance that we will get to see Morph, but you never know! Lastly, the latest issue of Wicked & Divine is out, which gets included because, with gods inhabiting mortal bodies, there has to be someone queering it up!

I'm hoping that they mean Nightcrawler will be pulling a Buffy and sacrificing an eternity in heaven to schlep back onto this mortal coil (and have invisible sex with Spike), because anything else would just be yawn-city!
