SuperQueeros! for December 21, 2016

As we crash into the winter present-giving season, the comic book floodgates are being flung open! SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Archie #15

Veronica vs Cheryl is nearing its (first) conclusion, but Archie and Jughead are heading for a rough patch!

Backstagers #5

The boys meet their counterparts from the All Girls school!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 11 #2

The Scoobies are divided when the magic community of the Buffy-verse get their own Mutant Registration Act!

Harley Quinn #10

For issue 10, Harley has a sackful of short stories for you!

Justice League/Suicide Squad #1

The JL finds out about Amanda Waller's Taskforce X. Yeah. Exactly. It's going to be that bad.

(Also, Diana is in Justice League #11 and Trinity #4!)

Jem and the Holograms The Misfits #1

The Misfits are without a label, but they've picked up a solo series!

Black Panther: World of Wakanda #2

Ayo and Aneka's first assignment is to protect Queen Shuri! Meanwhile, T'Challa gets dark and compromised.

Deadpool and the Mercs for Money #6

Domino is leading the team now, so Deadpool takes the Van Dyne role and puts everyone bck in the rainbow suits!

Captain America: Sam Wilson #16

Cap and D-Man are joined by.... MISTY KNIGHT!!

Patsy Walker a.k.a. Hellcat #13

Patsy, Ian, and her crew face off against the Black Cat and her gang!

Ultimates 2 #2

Christmas is a time for presents, but it's also famous for its ghost stories. The Ultimates take after this more paranormal holiday tradition as they hunt the Taa II for a ghost!

Doctor Who: Ninth Doctor #8
The team has to stop a UNIT agent from revealing (too early) the existence of aliens! Plus, there's a new clue to Jack's lost memories and a new companion joins the gang!

Torchwood #4
The team is split up (personally and bodily), and yet this is the end of the first arc. Can Jack and Gwen pull it together and save the day?

Harbinger Renegades #2
Kris and the team continues their mission to take down Alexander Solomon, the latest psiot to threaten humanity. But how do you combat someone who can see the future? Based on all the Midnighter comics that I've read, you just lose.

SuperQueeros! For October 29th, 2014

It's Halloween once more! I better see some of you dressed as the God of War, Diana, this year! SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Wonder Woman #35

It had to come to an end eventually. That's right, it's the grand finale of Brian Azzarello's character-defining run on Wonder Woman wraps up this week. Diana is all set to defeat her older half-brother while her little Togepi kid is revving up to fulfill his prophecy. But what of the "surprises" the spicier speaks of? And what status quo will we be left with when this issue closes? Who will it be on the throne of Olympus?

Rachel Rising #29

Next month Rachel finds out her killer. This month, though, she has to deal with a cult. Wacky!

Harbinger Omegas #3

Toyo and Peter go head to head!

Saga #24

Alana's descent into drug-fueled acting continues! Plus "The Brand"! And "Sweet Boy"!

SuperQueeros! for September 24th, 2014

It's good-bye to the Lumberjanes (for now), and hello to the most awesome Chew team-up ever! SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Lumberjanes #6

It's the last issue of this hit series! Now that the team is fully formed, will they be able to solve the mystery by returning to the scene of the crime? And will Molly and Mal admit their feelings?

Rachel Rising #28

Rachel tries her hand at some magic of her own...

Chew #43

Olive, Poyo, and Colby. Need we see more? No, we don't.

Amazing X-Men #11

Northstar's old and new teams collide in the Spirit Realm!

Harbinger Omega #2
Kris and the rest of the team are in the sights of Harada. Can they make it through a miniseries subtitled "Omega"?

SuperQueeros! for August 6th, 2014

Now that the collective comic-verse has some mainstay superqueeros, they keep showing up in ensemble titles, like Batman Eternal or Archie. As a result, it's a full week for SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Rachel Rising #27

Rachel is closing in on her killer, but things may get a little hectic when someone thinks they're close to getting their secret outed. Their deep, dark secret...

Batman Eternal #18

Batwoman, accompanied by Jason Todd and Batman, is on the scene to help save James Gordon!

Earth 2 #26

Just when Val-Zod and Green Lantern could use a hand in defeating Kal-El, a Boom Tube opens to reveal... Power Girl!

Harbinger Omegas #1

The post-Harada-calypse Valiant-verse is under the microscope in this miniseries, especially as it relates to the lives of the surviving Renegades, like superqueero Kris.

Archie #658

Kevin Keller is part of the main cast now, so I imagine he'll be showing up to help Betty turn the tables on Archie's end-of-summer dating spree.

She-Hulk #7

The Blue Folio investigation continues! This time, with Pym particles! (And another amaze-balls Kevin Wada cover!)

SuperQueeros! for July 16, 2014

Rejoice! After last month's outing of everyone's favorite Renegade and this week's re-launch of an old chestnut, it is a veritable renaissance for the... SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Harbinger #25

Though a woman was refrigerated to do it, Kris is now the first SuperQueero from Valiant! This double-sized issue is set to focus more on tying up Toyo Harada, but after he's gone the Harbingers will be left in uncharted, Sapphic waters!

Teen Titans #1

YES! Bunker is back! He, Wonder Girl, Raven, Beast Boy, and Red Robin are superheroic counselors to tomorrow's metahumans in this iteration of one of DC's most excellent teams. It sounds like we'll be getting freak-of-the-week, teeenager style. Like Earth 2 plus Avengers Academy/Arena/Undercover.

Life with Archie #36

But, as with all things, this week can't be all reboots and fresh starts. The awesome Life with Archie is closing it's metaphorical doors with, what else, The Death of Archie. Tune in for what may be Clay Walker's last appearance!

Batwoman #33

Batwoman's tumble with Nocturna sends her to the lair of the Night-Thief!

Rat Queens #7

It's attack of the Elder Gods in Rat Queens this week! Can the Queens beat back this eldritch horde?

X-Men #16

Psylocke, Jubes, and the rest of Storm's team take on the Future!

Honorable Mentions

The fabulous She-Hulk (#6) continues to smash her way through The Blue File, outfitted in the best Kevin Wada covers to ever hit the stands. Meanwhile, over in the X-verse, we have the X-Men's 100th Anniversary Special (who were created 51 years ago...), as well as "The Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier" in Uncanny X-Men #23. I don't think there's much of a chance that we will get to see Morph, but you never know! Lastly, the latest issue of Wicked & Divine is out, which gets included because, with gods inhabiting mortal bodies, there has to be someone queering it up!
