The assault on Sinister's fortress leads to the inevitable consequence of clandestine capers: betrayal! But which Wolvie will be defecting to the side of the (marginally more) Sinister? Plus, the Amazing X-men show up!

Last we left Green Lantern, his boyfriend was in mortal peril and the Spirit of Apokolips was about to kill the Green, the source of all his power!

Morning Glories #43
How do you beat the unbeatable? In a fictional universe whose physical mechanics are dictated by philosophy and whose population are routinely stuck in circular time loops, is anyone truly unbeatable? Conversely, but equally valid, is anyone truly beatable? Is this story unbeatable, or has it already been beaten by its dependence on a multi-volume storyline that is obscured by a non-linear narrative? Are we as comic readers, and therefore comic "real"-izers, beatable? Is a one word solicit unbeatable, or is there a way to extract a paragraph's worth of nonsense from a single word and some stern-faced cover art? In this issue of Morning Glories, absolutely none of these questions will be answered. But we may get hot gay French guys playing Towerball and/or sacrificing a girl.

After reading a few articles about it recently, I have renewed my subscription to Harely/Ivy: Canon OTP. That means I'll be covering the couple again, even if they don't ever get married on the steps of Arkham! And, just in time to welcome them back, Harley has a Valentine's Special! Watch as our favorite psychologist-turned-icon celebrates the season by tying up Batman and covering the page in hearts! It's basically what you're doodling at work anyway.

SuperQueeros! for October 30th, 2013

Man, when will great, queer-inclusive titles stop ending?!?!?! This week we say tah-tah to Ultimate Comics X-Men. Hopefully, though, this good-bye will just be until the title relaunches post-Cataclysm. Until then, though, stay tuned for... SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

The whole World War X concludes with Kitty taking down Jean. I assume that will take 5 pages and then we'll have denouement for the rest of the issue. Fingers crossed that Colossus gets a better happy ending!!

The end of an era!!!! Liu bids adieu to her seminal line-up (a veritable rainbow-squad of X-men!) in this, the final issue of Astonishing X-Men! But with X-Factor ending on hints of a reboot, can we hope that Northstar, Kyle, Karma, and Liu will get the same treatment and be teaming up again soon under a new #1??? We can only wish (loudly and with our wallets)!!!

Oh my gosh, I am so excited for this! I'm not sure if Kevin Keller will be included (They'd be fools not to! FOOLS!), but "Riverdale meets Walking Dead"is the most brilliant thing since Kevin met Clay! Fingers crossed that the follow through is as wicked-cool as the premise!

There's a new book in town (if only for the week)! The Doctor has picked up one of the world's most famous 'queeros, Oscar Wilde, in order to pepper his next adventure with Gallifreyan-level wit! Also, Supurbia turns it up a notch, Morning Glories no doubt puts another notch in its belt of murders, and Ultimate X moves a notch above the States when it gets its first gay president (of Utopia)! All in a week's work for... SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Have you read the preview??? Did you see the Easter egg on Zari's shirt?? And I had no idea Tia was such an awesome superhero! Plus Eve gets some storyline! (I feel like she's been relegated to playing an extra to the rest of the team ever since the mini, which I guess is fair turnabout since they were all JLA archetypes to her heroic ingenue for this four issues...) Oh, and Sara and Zari look so awesome in the cold open! I almost want Hector to succeed just to see that Thelma & Louise biz every month!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 9: Freefall #19

Ultimate Comics X-Men #23

We finally get the 411 on what happened to Colossus! After he murdered a guard in the mutant concentration camps we lost all narrative contact with the metal hunk, but this week we see how he and Storm both survived the Nimrod attack and went their separate ways. I'm hoping that Colossus gets picked up by Jean and taken to her mutant city in Asia!

Young Avengers #2 Now

Will Hulkling's EvilMom kill everyone?? Has she already killed his boyfriend's family??? And what's up with this foe of Loki's that shows up? Are they talking about Miss America Chavez?

Astonishing X-men #59

Northstar and Kyle are back from their honeymoon just in time to help Karma and the team as they hurtle toward X-termination!

X-treme X-men #11

Speaking of X-termination, Dazzler and her team are one issue closer to that fateful crossover event! But before they do they have to decide: will they side with or against the Nazis?

The Angelus teams up with the Witchblade and the Rapture to muscle the Darkness into restoring the natural order of the universe! Doesn't sound like she'll have much time for that gorgeous cop she's got on lock...

SuperQueeros! for October 31st, 2012

Happy Halloween! And... that is the most exciting thing that happens in this post. It's the usual fifth Wednesday slump, which I guess means you have more cash for hurricane recovery! But if you do have some dollars on hand and an open comic book store nearby, there are two books that will probably not (but technically might) have a homo in them. But probably not.

True Blood #6 
Apropos for the season, it's the latest issue of the Alcide True Blood the comic! Speaking of Alcide, he has to help Sookie and the vampires save Bon Temps from a marauding werewolf pack! Given that these wolves are aiming to kill off most of the town in an event called the "Great Hunt" I'm guessing that they're led by Apocalypse. Or Harvest.

SuperQueeros for September 12th, 2012

The SuperQueeros this week are mostly speculation on my part, so I'll arrange them in order of likelihood:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 9: Freefall #13

This one is first because I 100% know that Kennedy will be in it. I love that the move to comics has really helped the queer-Buffyverse thrive, including bringing us a new gay male slayer next month! Now, while Billy isn't in this issue, a resolution to last month's CRAZY cliffhanger is! Will Buffy's demon pal really sell her out to Wolfram& Hart? Will Buffy and Kennedy be able to take out Facebook once and for all??? Will their client have any role in this story???

Honestly guys, I am loving this title right now. And I was never the biggest Kennedy fan, but she is so dang awesome in the comic book! Check it out.

Uncanny X-Force #31

Wolvie et al. are back in 616 and they're headed to rescue Evan. Will they arrive in time to stop Daken and Mystique's nefarious plans? Or are Evan's halcyon school days over for good?

Ultimate Comics X-Men #16

Nick Fury and the Howling Kittens are aiming to take down the Sentinels dividing America! What with  Kitty's team wading into the former prison camps, maybe we'll get a Colossus cameo! (I kind of doubt it since they have two more issues in the arc after this one, but the story is pretty rockin', so I continue to hold out hope!)

This issue is an origin story that does not mention Madame Xanadu, but she OOOOOLD, so she might make an appearance.

I caught up on my Buffy last week! Here's the scoop...

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 9: Freefall #9

So. Here's some spoilers from the last couple of issues! Remember at the start of this season when Buff-ster had a house party and couldn't really remember what happened or who fathered her child or why she got ridonkulously crunk when she's had years of life-or-death experience with the preternatural dangers of house parties AND was the lead actor in the main story of "Beer Bad" in season 4? Well guess what! She wasn't crunk, Andrew just roofied her! Well that's a relie- wait what? Evidently the world's most morally confused character (who I, at this moment shamefacedly love... I blame Tom Lenk!) thinks it's TOTES COOL to rohypnol-ize someone if you're just planning on switching their brains with their robotic clone so that she thinks she's preggers when she's late! See, not a violation at all! Anyway, Ro-Buffy's pissed too, but her fleshy body-which is hardcore experiencing Emily Lake Syndrome (The ELS!) right now-just got kidnapped by that evil, pink-haired slayer!!!! So Ro-Buffy/Blonde-Cable, Spike, and Andrew are off to save it! Also, zompires are evolving and Domestic-Problems Xander and New-Hot-Cop are out fighting them. 

Ultimate Comics X-Men #11

DID YOU SEE WHAT ULTIMATE COLOSSUS DID I CAN'T TAKE IT NOOOOO STAY GOOD MY TWO-DIMENSIONAL CRUSH-GUY!!!!!!!!!!!! The Nimrods are attacking and it's up to Ororo and Piotr to find a way to stop the slaughter in the newly re-grittied Ultimate-verse. Who will escape this unrepentant slaughter? Who can stomach it? Who will alert Northstar so he can swoop in and save his boo-bear???? 

Superboy #9 / Legion Lost #9

The Culling crossover continues! I'm still v v v mad at them for killing Artemis, so I'm not really gonna plug Bunker much. But did you catch Danny the Street's appearance in April's Teen Titans? 'Twas hot.

Storm is breaking out of her concentration camp, which means she's saving Peter from being tortured by flatscans, which means finding out what's up with Ultimate Northstar???? I'm so glad the Ultimate X-Men are back... :D

Batwoman #8

Have you seen the roster of baddies KK is fighting this arc??? Crazy awesome!!! The mythology of this series is so rich and free-standing. That living hook? CRAY. Blood Mary? CRAAAAAY. And the new Croc? Pretty norma- CRAZY!

Kevin Keller #2

PROM! The other KK of comics is planning his high school's prom, which raises the question, who will date-changed Kevin take??? Evidently he has a secret admirer! #squee

So... I don't know if I read issue #7? It's very confusing because it's the only title I follow that isn't digital yet. Evidently B's been vamped? And Andrew will be in this issue! Is he canon-gay yet? This is very confusing for me... #butiwillbuyiteventually #godigital!!!

Ultimate Colossus is back!!!! I'm hoping this is going to be an all new Children's Crusade, with a kiss between Colossus and Northstar at the end! CUUUUTE!!

Ultimate Comics X-Men #9

After catching us up with the Ultimate X team last issue, Ultimate Comics X-Men takes us to Camp Angel, the concentration camp that houses Storm and every gay's boyfriend, Colossus! From the cover I'm guessing "prison break" is the theme of the issue, and I am so there!

Batwoman #7

The gyre winds deeper as our heroine faces down a pack of monsters led by "Falchion". Plus, the rest of the awesome cast of this book get screwed more too! Plus, check out Amy Reeder's art on interiors: she's killin' it!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9: Freefall #7

Abortion. Crap. BtVS is defo bringing the realness in this season, which for me is a welcome change from last season's Michael-Bay-spolsion. Plus her roommates become a lil more relevant!

Daken: Dark Wolverine #22

The second to last issue! It's father vs son as Daken takes his fight to NYC and Wolverine. With a death sentence hanging above him will Daken leave a lasting mark on the Marvel U? Or will his sound and fury signify nuthin', bub?
