Scarlet Betch Episode 47: Comic Book Potpourri

Hey Betches!

Rounding out our coverage from this past week of comic book marathon. We chat about Age of X: Universe and the increasingly confusing, X-Factor (and Layla Miller's increasingly confusing power set), Birds of Prey (finally with a decent artist and a cameo from out and proud Renee Montoya aka The Question), Daken: Dark Wolverine (aka emo wolverine), Batgirl (and the departure of Proxy), and a lightning review of the new Thor movie!

Let us know what you think! Plus, any comics you think we missed in our coverage let us know! Send us a tweet @ScarletBetch or by email at scarletbetch@gmail.com

Silver Scorpion was alright. It was a bit tried and true of a formula and I rolled my eyes when he gets the crown and is automatically so adept that he can create a giant metal robot fighter. I was also a little put off that the character never considers that goading his cousin into entering a junk yard that he knows is filled with land mines might have made him a bit culpable in his cousin's death.

It's an intro issue, so I'll ease off, but it could very quickly get into one-note characterizing if they're not careful.

M doesn't have telekenesis. I think she just hit the bullet back with her hand (bc she has super strength and durability)
